Candela Foundation announces the opening of applications for the Resonators 2026 program – the next edition of its scholarship and internship initiative addressed to students interested in developing their skills in optics, photonics, and related fields. Applications may be submitted until March 16, 2026.
The Rezonatory program supports young people who want to develop their scientific interests and gain research experience under the supervision of distinguished researchers from leading Polish academic institutions. Participation in the program offers an opportunity to carry out an internship project in a new research environment, become familiar with modern laboratory infrastructure, and develop competencies important for a future scientific and professional career.
In the 2026 edition, the program involves 12 Internship Supervisors representing 7 different academic and research institutions. As a result, participants selected for the program will be able to complete their internships in diverse research teams working on projects in modern optics and photonics.
As part of this year’s edition, 6 scholarships will be awarded, each worth 9 700 PLN gross. The financial support is intended to enable fuller engagement in the research project and to facilitate participation for those undertaking an internship outside their place of study.
The Rezonatory program is not only an opportunity to gain practical research experience, but also a chance to build connections within the scientific community, learn about the nature of research team work, and develop competencies that support further academic and professional activity.
Rezonatory 2026 is carried out with the support of the main patron – Corning Optical Fiber in Mszczonów – as well as the following patrons: COMEF, Mode-locked Technology, IPG Photonics, Integrators, INTERLAB, SHM System, and 2Photons. The involvement of the program’s partners constitutes an important contribution to the development of young talent and to strengthening the optics and photonics community in Poland.
