Kacper Cybiński

Kacper Cybiński is a master’s student at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw (UW), majoring in Quantum Physics and Chemistry – Individual Research Studies. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the MISMaP University of Warsaw, specializing in physics. In parallel with his scientific development, he is actively involved in social activities, organizing leading scientific conferences in the field of quantum physics, optics and photonics in Poland.

During his studies, he gained scientific experience during research stays at Institut de Ciències Fotòniques (ICFO, Spain) and The Flatiron Institute (New York, USA), during which he developed his scientific passions at the intersection of artificial intelligence and quantum physics, with support from the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB) program.

He actively participates in international conferences, presenting the results of his research: giving talks, and presenting scientific posters. He participated in projects financed by the National Science Center, ERC, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, such as “Best of the Best 4.0”. For his scientific achievements, he was honored with a scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education in 2024.

Kacper is also an active member of the academic community: he was a member of the Advisory Council for the Student Scientific Movement by the Rector of the University of Warsaw and is currently also a member of the Faculty Council and the Didactic Council at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw. During his studies, he actively works for the Interdisciplinary Scientific Tournament Student Club of the University of Warsaw, in which he has been vice-president since 2024 and with which he obtained silver and bronze medals in the University Physics Competition international competitions in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Since man does not live by science alone, he has always liked to use his excess energy for creative issues. In his youth, he was involved in dubbing, which later turned into photography, and then sound and video production, all of which he pursues in his spare time.

In his free time, he also likes sailing, hiking, climbing, and traveling in search of splendid food. He is not bothered by the conflict between the funders because he loves all three debated cakes.
